He had been sleeping for a few hours when a noise startled him awake. He saw a dark figure in the doorway and discharged a weapon he kept nearby. At first he didn’t know where the bullet went, but he soon discovered he had shot his son, Matthew Leach, 38, killing him. According to court documents, the elder Leach was horrified.</div><div
