<DIV style="RIGHT: auto" id=yiv1852251020>Wayne,<BR><BR>You have to admit that there are differences between the two examples. You can't compare a boating ACCIDENT to an actual case of GUN VIOLENCE. One difference is that in the case of mass shootings, the shooter intends to kill the victim(s). I think that is part of what Saundra is getting at. <BR><BR>Another part is that some people think that gun violence is a serious social problem. You might not think so but just as, in a public venue, the atheist should have some sympathy and respect for the theist -- if only for the sake of discussion -- so too you have to wrap your head around that fact that some of us think that there is a serious problem that you (in your ignorance -- just kidding!) might not regard as a problem. That's why we're really searching for ways to dialogue, really trying to push the envelope when it comes to providing possible solutions.<BR><BR>Which brings us to the 2nd amendment:

 "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."<BR><BR>I want to know how one could get from these words to: ALL forms of gun control are constitutionally prohibited.<BR><BR>Anyone care to show me the details of that argument?<BR><BR>Best, Joe<BR><BR>
