Well, perhaps yes, at the present time. However, state level
control, regardless how miserly could be its benefits at its
inception, might be, through thoughtful, aggressive, and successful
lobbying by citizenry through their legislators, turned into a set
of premium plans customizable for the nearly individual needs of
various groups of Idahoans. Such may seem neither easy nor probable
now, but at least possible with coordinated, concerted efforts.<br>
<br>
Rather than being told without choice what benefits will be
available, local control gives more opportunities for local options.
Insurance, especially public insurance, need not be considered only
delivered engraved on stone tablets. Insurance is embodied within
contracts, and contracts have at least two parties, and those
parties can negotiate the contents of their contracts. <br>
<br>
In other words, let's try to see opportunities rather than
difficulties in the choice for state level control.<br>
