Donovan,<br><br>When I first moved to AZ, in 2008, I was amazed to learn road work was done 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Of Course, it is hotter than Hades during the day in summer! Who am I kidding? Sometimes, the low is 99* at night! Anyway, it does make it more convenient for commuters. <br>

Any new work done on a pole is going to just have to be redone in a few years. <div style="TEXT-ALIGN:justify"><b>October 17, 2012 (Moscow, Idaho) –<a name="13a749fff0f73c33_13a7483789e9e58d_OLE_LINK4" rel="nofollow"></a><a name="13a749fff0f73c33_13a7483789e9e58d_OLE_LINK3" rel="nofollow"></a> </b>The Paradise Path along <span><span>Berman</span></span> <span><span>Creekside</span></span> Park and <span><span>Styner</span></span> Avenue will be closed for a portion of Thursday, October 18<sup><span><span>th</span></span></sup> and again from October 22<sup><span><span>nd</span></span></sup> through 26<sup><span><span>th</span></span></sup> while <span><span>Avista</span></span> Utilities upgrades the poles and wires connected to the Moscow City Substation. Possible temporary closures might also occur on the <span><span>Latah</span></span> Trail east
toward Mill Road and the Moscow 230<span><span>kV</span></span> Substation near the Elks Golf Course. Alternate routes for these sections of trail would include using <span><span>Styner</span></span> Street and Highway 95 or neighboring residential streets. The City urges users to be safe and cautious using these alternate routes.</div>

<div style="TEXT-ALIGN:justify"><span><span>Avista</span></span> is working to update the outdated communication system by installing approximately one mile of fiber-optic cable. This work will help provide more reliable, efficient electric service to homes and businesses. In addition to adding fiber-optic technology, old wooden poles are being replaced with new steel poles that will require less maintenance in the future. Transmission lines will also be upgraded for greater efficiency and a higher clearance area for safety. <span><span>Avista</span></span> does not anticipate any power outages related to this work.</div>
