I think they should have to give up all their wealth and settle for $250,000 a year for the rest of their life if they want to serve in high political office. For the same reason that judges should not be allowed to accept donations from oil companies and <SPAN style="RIGHT: auto" id=misspell-0><SPAN>lobbyists</SPAN></SPAN> or side jobs with law firms, so should members or Congress banned. You serve the people 100% or you shouldn't serve at all. If you cannot make ends meet on $300,000 a year you have no business managing America's <SPAN style="RIGHT: auto" id=misspell-0><SPAN>finances</SPAN></SPAN> or making decisions
for other people. </SPAN></div>

But more than 20 percent of the members of the current Congress — 121 lawmakers — appeared to be worse off in 2010 than they had been six years earlier, and 24 saw their reported wealth slide into negative territory.<BR><BR>Those findings emerge from an ongoing examination of congressional finances by The Washington Post, which analyzed thousands of financial disclosure forms and public records for all
