I think we're just going to be stuck for the unforseeable future with the too crappy parties that are already firmly entrenched. I'm not sure of union rules, but I seem to recall some controversy about replacing teachers with iPads. It wouldn't surprise me if some conservatives want to do this considering they have a seething hatred for unions and also for jobs that have high wages and decent benefits.

-Scott

> Date: Wed, 22 Aug 2012 10:58:48 -0700
> From: dickow@turbonet.com
> To: art.deco.studios@gmail.com; vision2020@moscow.com
> Subject: Re: [Vision2020] We Need a ‘Conservative’ Party
>
>
> Art, Thanks for posting this NY Times editorial calling for a more reasoned and reasonable Conservative party in our country. I still find some statements in the article curious. The assertion that we need to "get rid of union rules against technology" is one of them. I don't know of any union rules against technology. As a President of a teachers union I would like to know about such rules. No union that I know of has rules against technology.
>
> Bob Dickow, troublemaker
>
> -----Original message-----
> From: Art Deco art.deco.studios@gmail.com
> Date: Wed, 22 Aug 2012 05:23:33 -0700
> To: vision2020@moscow.com
> Subject: [Vision2020] We Need a ‘Conservative’ Party
>
> > [image: The New York Times] <http://www.nytimes.com/>
> >
> > ------------------------------
> > August 21, 2012
> > We Need a ‘Conservative’ Party By THOMAS L.
> > FRIEDMAN<http://topics.nytimes.com/top/opinion/editorialsandoped/oped/columnists/thomaslfriedman/index.html>
> >
> > There has been lots of talk that Paul Ryan’s nomination ensures that we’ll
> > now have a “real” debate about the role of government.
