      Thinking bad of me is pretty much par for the course around here. 
      There is a difference between defending the Confederacy and
      defending an informational display that relates to the
      Confederacy.  <br>

      But while we're on the subject, I have no problem with someone
      displaying or glorifying the Confederacy, or pretty much anything
      else.  Freedom of expression and all that.  Just not as an
      official display in the Courthouse.  But since this appears to be
      an informational display about the history of one local resident,
      I have no problem with it.<br>

      Why would there be any educational value to a historical display? 
      That would be ludicrous.<br>

                              At the risk of sending everyone into an
                              apoplectic rage by suggesting that they
                              may be over-reacting, exactly what is the
                              purpose of that display?  Is it, perhaps,
                              to display information on a historical
                              time, event, or person connected to the
                              Civil War?  If so, then having a
                              confederate flag in the display might make
                              sense.  Also, trying to imply that the US
                              and State flags are unimportant because
                              they placed a table in front of them with
                              a box on it seems a bit of a stretch.<br>
