When I go to Seattle to catch Mariner's games I typically stay at the La Quinta Seatac. Sometimes I actually walk to it from the airport, but they of course have a shuttle. The shuttle will also take you on request from the hotel to the light rail station (and vice versa). I also like staying at the Coast Gateway since it's shares the same parking lot as Roaster's (Sharp's Roaster & Ale House) and they have lots of good IPAs on tap. I've found Seattle downtown hotels to be very expensive on the rare times I've actually stayed overnight downtown.

BTW - The Mariner's are playing the Rangers at Safeco at 7:10pm and there are plenty of good seats available (as always) :-) If you haven't been to Safeco, it's a beautiful park. Carl Westberg and Joan Opyr met me their for opening day a few years back. M's lost that game, but it was still lots of fun.

And best steak in town really is at the Metropolitan Grill on 2nd and Marion, but that's a horribly overpriced place too so save that for very special occasions. :-)

-Scott

> Date: Thu, 12 Jul 2012 23:38:51 -0700
> From: philosopher.joe@gmail.com
> To: vision2020@moscow.com
> Subject: [Vision2020] Seattle hotels
>
> Thinking of going to Seattle tomorrow.
