Specific battles or events may be of interest - in which case both flags should be displayed and information about both armies included. I suggest celebrating Appomattox, for example. Veterans from both sides of the Civil War settled in Latah County. This display does not appear to represent them. And, if somehow it remotely does so – the photographs inside the display case are not clear – then why not reference Union Flats and former early city council members who promoted and ran on their affiliation with the GAR? <o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif";color:#993366'>Part of my responsibilities at the UI Library included displays in the main lobby and on the second floor. I did them for five years. There are a variety of ways to depict the Confederate South, and the Civil War.
