<DIV>I, too, like the new configuration and wasn’t prepared to do so.
Additionally, walking on Main Street is easier than in the square. I
thought it would be more difficult. Also, and I know this is not
overwhelmingly supported, but I do like the prohibition against animals.
Last year I got tangled up in a very little, very cute dog and fell. It
wasn’t his or the owner’s fault at all, but I just don’t see as well as I used
to. </DIV>

this idea coming up while I headed the Chamber in 2007-8. We
co-hosted several informational meetings about it. Hardly anyone
showed for the first two meetings. Then word got out among
downtown business owners, and the third meeting was well attended by a
