That's what the INKster thought when she read a June 18 Christ Church email from Larry Cernik reminding members of his handgun clinic today from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at a location not mentioned in his notice.</SPAN><BR><SPAN></SPAN><BR><SPAN>Participants had to register in advance for the Level 1 Basic Handgun Clinic, which cost $50 per person.</SPAN><BR><SPAN></SPAN><BR><SPAN>"This course is designed to bring you up to speed with the basic principles of employing a handgun in self-defense," Cernik wrote. "You will be taught these principles and be given the opportunity to practice and demonstrate them on the range here. You will go home with a number of drills to practice which, if done faithfully, will increase your proficiency."</SPAN><BR><SPAN></SPAN><BR><SPAN>Participants were encouraged to bring their own handgun, 100 rounds of ammunition and a holster.
