He has consistently delivered for Latah County residents during his 16 years in the Idaho Legislature. I have personally witnessed his sincere and competent service to individual constituents. I believe he will continue his constituent service as a county commissioner.</span><br><span></span><br><span>He has supported legislation to strengthen the University of Idaho and our public schools. Tom is a lifelong resident of Latah County and lives on the 500-acre family farm. He has extensive experience as a university educator, businessman and farmer. I sincerely hope that his wise leadership will continue in that role specifically in our immediate vicinity. Trail's far-sighted and balanced approach on issues has been rather admirable and effective in Idaho politics.</span><br><span></span><br><span>As more of an independent, his choices in the Legislature could typically appeal to both fair-minded Republican and Democratic constituents. That also explains why he would generally find support with Idaho's major educational and business entities. In addition, he typically promoted legislation aimed at equitable taxes for individuals as well as the business community. His common-sense approach to public issues always includes concern for the common good.</span></div><div><span></span> <br><span>At the personal level, during all the years I have known Trail, I have always appreciated his compassionate heart and soul for fellow humans. I am sure that will also translate into his role as the Latah County commissioner without compromising the governing rules for the position.</span><br><span>Please vote for Tom Trail on May 15.</span><br><span></span><br><span>S.M.
