CNN reports that pop and R & B singer Whitney Houston is dead at 48. <br><br>I grew up listening to her aunt, Dionne Warwick, and thought Whitney Houston's work must've done her auntie proud. She was an astonishingly beautiful, talented, loving woman who seems to have lost her battle with drugs, mental illness, and despair.
