I really wonder if Santorum had even the slightest clue that that might be offensive to his Jewish friends and supporters. So I can't decide which is more lamentable: Was he using Hanukkah as a "witnessing opportunity," or does he simply not realize that a New Testament reference on Hanukkah is likely to be, ummmmm, ill-received?

Either way, a Santorum victory in the GOP primaries, while still unlikely, would be a gift to the Obama campaign. Still, it would leave a lasting stain on this country and lasting shame on the Church who claims it.

Keely
www.keely-prevailingwinds.com

From: thansen@moscow.com
Date: Thu, 9 Feb 2012 05:30:09 -0800
To: vision2020@moscow.com
Subject: [Vision2020] Santorum Keeping Christ in Hanakkuh

Courtesy of the Daily Kos at:

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2012/02/08/1062930/-Rick-Santorum-s-campaign-sent-Hanukkah-greetings-with-New-Testament-message?via=blog_1

-----------------------

Rick Santorum's Campaign Sent Hanahhuh Greetings With New Testament Message

Just a reminder of the brain trust that passes for the Rick "Christian Sharia" Santorum campaign: Santorum's South Carolina team sent out this Hanakkuh card last, well, Hanakkuh. Notice anything?

Yep. They sent a card to their nice Jewish friends with a New Testament verse promising salvation in Jesus. Because they're just that inclusive.
