Not only do they get to sue, and do sue the hell out of anyone that comes through the door, or tap their insurance <span id="misspell-2"><span>deductibles</span></span> dry, they also get millions of dollars from the county taxpayer to support it. They also get millions in charity donations to pay the outrageous charges of the uninsured by the hospital. </span></div><div><span></span> </div><div><span>When you can get insurance and visit the ER you pay
$150, and the Insurance Company pays $350 of the $500 charged. If you are uninsured you are charged $2000, and if your don't have the cash on due date, they sue you for $3000 plus lawyers fees of $1500 the next day. You can only declare <span id="misspell-1"><span>bankruptcy</span></span> once every 7 years. So if you are not healthy and poor, you are screwed financially and credit wise for the rest of your short life. </span></div><div><span></span> </div><div><span>To me it is the most disgusting thing to drain someones finances dry for a medical emergency. Of course, if I didn't have <span id="yiv1013291051misspell-5" class="yiv1013291051mark">healthcare</span>, I'd have a lot more choices. I could go anywhere I wanted. But I couldn't afford <span id="yiv1013291051misspell-6" class="yiv1013291051mark">healthcare</span>. All <span id="yiv1013291051misspell-7" class="yiv1013291051mark">healthcare</span> insurance companies restrict choice but no one who has an opportunity to have good access to <span id="yiv1013291051misspell-8" class="yiv1013291051mark">healthcare</span> refuses it for this reason. No one. You don't think that this is a problem for say my <span id="yiv1013291051misspell-9" class="yiv1013291051mark">healthcare</span> providers, so why should it be a problem for universal <span
id="yiv1013291051misspell-10" class="yiv1013291051mark">healthcare</span>? If this was really a problem, lots of folks who had access to <span id="yiv1013291051misspell-11" class="yiv1013291051mark">healthcare</span> insurance would reject it since no insurance companies allow you to see ANYONE you wish. Maybe this is a problem with <span id="yiv1013291051misspell-12" class="yiv1013291051mark">healthcare</span> insurance companies but this is not a problem with universal <span id="yiv1013291051misspell-13" class="yiv1013291051mark">healthcare</span> per <span id="yiv1013291051misspell-14" class="yiv1013291051mark">se</span>. It isn't as if the practice of <span id="yiv1013291051misspell-15" class="yiv1013291051mark">healthcare</span> insurance companies would change were there universal <span id="yiv1013291051misspell-16" class="yiv1013291051mark">healthcare</span>.<br>
<br>Also, take your example. Time Warner does not provide the YES network. I could get a Dish package which has that option but it would be a LOT more expensive and I CHOOSE not to do so. It isn't as if <span id="yiv1013291051misspell-17" class="yiv1013291051mark">healthcare</span> providers PREVENT you from seeing any doctor you want. You just can't file for insurance benefits. But your CHOICES are not prevented; they are just restricted because folks in general would rather save money.<br>
