<p class="MsoNormal"><b>‘A’ Street Rezone to be Considered – </b>CORRECTED, MEETING TO BE HELD ON JANUARY 3,<b>
<span style="background:yellow">2012</span></b></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify"><b>December 9, 2011 (Moscow, Idaho) –<a name="OLE_LINK3"></a><a name="OLE_LINK4">
</a></b>The Moscow City Council will consider a proposed rezone of multiple properties generally located along a portion of ‘A’ Street from Farm Road on the west and Line Street on the east. Also included in the proposed rezone is approximately 66 acres of
land generally located north of the Palouse Mall. The City Council will consider the rezone at the January 3,
<b>2012</b> meeting of the City Council at 7 p.m. in City Hall Council Chambers and public input will be considered at that time.

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify"> </p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify">The intent of the proposed rezone is to have the zoning designations and land uses more closely reflect the existing development pattern, anticipated future development of the area, and to eliminate the nonconforming
status of most of the 18 nonconforming properties that currently exist within the rezone area. </p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify"> </p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify">Since the scale of the proposed rezone is so large and each area has its own distinct characteristics, the rezone has been divided into three subareas. The subareas that are to be considered for rezone are as
follows: </p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify"> </p>
<ul type="disc" style="margin-top:0in">
<li class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify">Subarea A - ‘A’ Street between Peterson and Line Streets – Rezone from the current Motor Business designation to a Residential Office designation.</li><li class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify">Subarea B - ‘A’ Street corridor between Peterson Drive and Farm Road – Rezone from current Motor Business and Farm Ranch designations to a combination of Residential Office and Multiple Family Residential designations.<b></b></li><li class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify">Subarea C - 66 acres owned by the University of Idaho generally located north of the Palouse Mall – Rezone from Farm Ranch and Agriculture Forestry to Motor Business.</li></ul>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify">The proposed rezones have been considered by the Moscow Planning and Zoning Commission on October 27, 2010, a meeting with affected property owners was held on July 14, 2011, a neighborhood meeting was hosted
on September 27, 2011 and the Planning and Zoning Commission reviewed the matter again on November 9, 2011. At the November 9 meeting the Commission conducted a public hearing and upon consideration of testimony received, recommended approval of the proposed
rezone to City Council. The City Council will consider the recommendation at the January 3,
<b>2012</b> meeting of the City Council at 7 p.m. in City Hall Council Chambers.</p>
