such a morally reprehensible position by saying such advocacy is OK, nothing to
get upset about, because it is based on religious beliefs or it's
OK because the advocate's values are different from yours:

<DIV><FONT size=2 face=Verdana>Child sexual molestation, especially by parents
is a very serious and generally life shattering experience for most children who
experience it -- it is not like the issue of when to baptize a
child.</FONT></DIV>

<DIV><FONT size=2 face=Verdana>To condone the advocacy of situations
where child sexual molestation is likely to happen and thus help
enable that molestation based on religious or other bases it not only
offensive to the victims, their parents, and most of society and is not
much different from condoning the molestation itself. Such a cavalier
attitude seems to me to approach being sociopathic.</FONT></DIV>

<DIV><FONT size=2 face=Verdana>It must be nice to be so "complicated" so as to
be able to admire and respect such advocates in view of their other alleged
qualities. Ted Bundy was thought of as a nice, agreeable charming person,
so are many others of his ilk; most con artists are nice, agreeable, charming
persons. I assume these have your sycophantic admiration and respect also
despite being serial murderers or thieves.</FONT></DIV>

However, in my opinion there is very little room for debate about the evils of

admire someone's positive qualities whilst still disagreeing with some actions
they may have taken. By saying that I respect or admire this or that
quality in someone I am *not* endorsing every single action they have ever taken
or have thought about or will do.<BR><BR>Do you think it's possible he thought
what he was doing was the right thing to do, based on his particular ideals of
right and wrong? Or is he some kind of monster who really wants to see

character as an endorsement of whatever decisions he has made as an official
in his church. He and I don't share the same religious views or value
systems.<BR><BR>I can say that he struck me as an honest and caring individual
every time I've met him. Take that for what it' worth. Maybe
somebody, somewhere, might find that information useful.<BR><BR>You know, it
is possible to find good qualities in someone as well as bad ones. It's
also possible that someone might do something they think is right according to
one value system that looks wrong when viewed in light of another
one.<BR><BR>Do you think it's possible that he has some admirable qualities,
or is he some bastardized combination of Kim Jong-Il, Jeffrey Dahmer, and
