From: Whitepine chapter INPS <whitepine.chapter@gmail.com> To: White Pine Chapter contacts <whitepine.chapter@gmail.com> Content-Type: multipart/alternative; boundary=001636284334c5d90604abd547eb --001636284334c5d90604abd547eb Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1 At the last White Pine board meeting we discussed the possibility of holding a native plant sale in either late May or early June of next year. Plants would come from 1. area native plants grown from seed by members and friends 2. native plants transplanted from native gardens of members 3. plants grown from local seed by a local grower, purchased from the grower and then sold by the chapter at sale. We would appreciate your thoughts on the feasibility of a sale. We also need to know who might grow some plants from seed, and who might have some transplants - to get an idea of what would be available. We would need to let the grower know very soon how many of which varieties we would want to purchase. If you could grow plants but have no seed, some members could provide seeds of some species. Pahove chapter does a similar plant sale in the Boise area and uses it for fund raising, education of the public, and to increase the number and awareness of native plants in local gardens. Please reply to this email if you would volunteer in some way either planning, growing, or helping at sale. I will compile the replies for the board.
