<p class="MsoNormal"><b>City of Moscow Planning and Zoning Commission to Hold Public Hearing on Proposed Amendments to the Large Retail Establishment Ordinance and Design Manual<o:p></o:p></b></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify"><b>August 17, 2011 (Moscow, Idaho) –</b>The City of Moscow Planning and Zoning Commission will conduct a public hearing on proposed amendments to the City’s current Large Retail Establishment (LRE) Ordinance and
Design Manual which applies to retail establishments that are larger than 40,000 square feet in size. The Commission will conduct the hearing on the draft ordinance that would establish a scaled application of development standards for LREs at their upcoming
meeting on August 24<sup>th</sup>, 2011, at 7:30 PM in City Council Chambers located on the second floor of City Hall at 206 E. Third Street.

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify">Currently, retail establishments that are larger than 40,000 square feet are required to obtain a conditional use permit and follow the Design Manual, while those over 65,000 square feet are also required to conduct
additional economic impact and other related studies as part of the Conditional Use Permit application. The Moscow City Council has recently requested that the Planning and Zoning Commission review the Conditional Use Permit and economic impact study requirements
of the current LRE ordinance, with the goal to encourage business and economic growth consistent with the City’s Comprehensive Plan.
