</b>The City of Moscow in partnership with the University of Idaho Latah County Extension is pleased to announce a Rapid Market Assessment (or RMA) of the Moscow Farmers Market on July 30, 2011. A RMA is a collaborative survey process that helps markets address
issues and facilitate strategic planning. The Moscow Farmers Market received funds from the United States Department of Agriculture Farmers Market Promotion Program to conduct the RMA this summer.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">The RMA is a tried and tested method of assessing a market and will provide customer input, answers to critical questions, and an opportunity to obtain feedback that will help improve the Moscow Farmers Market. On July 30, volunteers
will be taking attendance counts in order to approximate the number of attendees to the Market. Additionally, Market-goers will have the opportunity to answer four questions in a fun and unique method, the dot survey approach. Each question will be on a
poster board along with multiple-choice answers. Market-goers can answer the questions by placing a dot in the category that they choose. When you’re at the Moscow Farmers Market on Saturday, take a couple of minutes to help the Market by participating in
the RMA and “Do the Dots!”<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">After participating in the dot survey, people can then vote in the
<i>America’s Favorite Farmers Markets™ </i>contest on a laptop computer that will be set up at the Market, or by visiting
<a href="http://www.farmland.org/vote"><span style="color:windowtext">www.farmland.org/vote</span></a>.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">The Moscow Farmers Market is a popular Saturday event that celebrates local farmers, artists, craftspeople, and musicians by providing them with an opportunity to interact directly with the community and its visitors. Highlights include
fresh produce, delicious homemade baked goods, healthy nursery plants, beautiful flowers, and quality handmade crafts. The Market is located in downtown Moscow in Friendship Square next to the Moscow Hotel, and is held every Saturday, May through October,
from 8am – 1pm.<o:p></o:p></p>
