<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify"><b>June 24, 2011 (Moscow, Idaho) –<a name="OLE_LINK3"></a><a name="OLE_LINK4">
</a></b>Construction on Orchard Avenue that began on June 13 will continue until mid-July. Orchard Avenue is open to local traffic, but will be closed to through traffic from ‘F’ Street to Thatuna Drive during the duration of the construction. Residents in
this area, north and east of this project, are encouraged to use the detour route provided, from ‘F’ Street and Cleveland Street to Thatuna Drive to Ponderosa Drive and back to Orchard Avenue.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify"> </p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify">The City has contracted with Motley and Motley Construction to complete the work, replacing badly cracked pavement and, due to poor underlying soil conditions, the underlying base rock. The project extends on
Orchard from ‘F’ Street north to Thatuna Drive and includes removal and disposal of 16 inches of existing roadway, placement of geotextile fabric, 10 inches of rock cap, 2 inches of ¾ inch aggregate base and 4 inches of asphalt pavement.
