Hi Tom,

I can't let you get away with the 4 x 4 deal, because right here on the Vision you bragged about your Ford Fusion Hybrid, which, because you drive it more often, makes up for the truck many times over.

Because of your example I've bought a Fusion Hybrid and I love it. Except the wheels have far too spokes and I'm really self-conscious about them. Anyone want to trade less ostentatious 17 inch wheels for my Las Vegas models?

To Hank: Yes, I would object to a 200 foot wind turbine blade that weigh 500 tons.

Watching that MPG like a hawk (last trip was 43.6),
I never argued against the megaloads on the grounds of big oil, Mr. Johnston.

Heck! Like I mentioned in an earlier post, I drive a Ford Ranger 4x4; not exactly anti-big oil, huh?

My concern relates to the absence of prior planning given to the route(s) of these megaloads.

It is my opinion that ITD and Governor Otter gave their unqualified approval long before the newspapers hit the stands.
But those concerns cannot weigh into whether or not the permits are issued to move said loads through Moscow if the laws and rules exist for other loads of the same demensions (though not maybe owned by oil companies) to be permitted.
Such loads are also permittable under current Idaho law/admin rules.
If you're opposed to the loads based on the size/noise/etc.. regardless of use then I respect and can see your point of view even though its different than mine.
