under President White, to address the non-attendance problem at the general.
Now all students walk across the stage to pick up diplomas, PhDs get hoods,
etc. so if Mom wants a picture, Junior (or Jane) has to get up early on
Saturday. The colleges have receptions following general commencement (all
indoors). </SPAN></DIV>
