However, I think that Republicans would still vote for Trail in the Primary because they know he can win. If they nominate someone farther to the right that nominee would be defeated in the General Election and a Democrat would take his seat, not a more right leaning Republican, such was the case for Schroeder's senate seat. </DIV>
