<div>Sorry, Joe, the Bible does not say that man and the animals were created at the same time.</div><div><br></div><div>In Genesis 2:24-25 God created the animals first, then in vs. 26-27 he created man, both male and female.</div><div><br></div><div>However, in the other creation account, in Genesis 2:7, 18-19, the LORD God made a man first (out of the ground or soil); then he made the animals. Last of all he made a woman out of the man's rib, vs. 21-23.</div><div><br></div><div>But fundamentalists don't like what the Bible actually says so they pervert the text to make it appear that the LORD God had already made the animals before the man. I'm referring to doctored versions like the New International Version (NIV), the best-selling Bible in the USA.</div><div><br></div><div>So not only do creationists screw up what science has learned, they also screw up the Bible. </div><div><br></div><div>Ralph Nielsen</div><div><br></div><div><p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 21.0px 0.0px"><font face="Times" size="7" style="font: 32.0px Times"><b>NYTimes: On Evolution, Biology Teachers Stray</b></font></p><div style="margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; "><font face="Times" size="5" style="font: 16.0px Times"><b>Joe Campbell</b> <a href="mailto:vision2020%40moscow.com?Subject=%5BVision2020%5D%20NYTimes%3A%20On%20Evolution%2C%20Biology%20Teachers%20Stray&In-Reply-To=5C0C81B8B2124CBB98AEA3FDC0601242%40SuePC"><font color="#000af1" style="color: #000af1">philosopher.joe at gmail.com </font></a></font></div><div style="margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; "><font face="Times" size="5" style="font: 16.0px Times"><i>Tue Feb 8 07:11:49 PST 2011</i></font></div><div style="margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; "><font face="Times" size="5" style="font: 16.0px Times"><i><br></i></font></div><div style="margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; font: normal normal normal 16px/normal Times; min-height: 19px; "><font class="Apple-style-span" face="Courier" size="3"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: 13px;">...</span></font></div><div style="margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; "><font face="Courier" size="4" style="font: 13.0px Courier">One common fallacy used by creationists is the fallacy of false dilemma,</font></div><div style="margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; "><font face="Courier" size="4" style="font: 13.0px Courier">that there are only two options: evolution theory, which is atheistic, and</font></div><div style="margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; "><font face="Courier" size="4" style="font: 13.0px Courier">creation theory.
