</b>The City of Moscow, in an effort to improve snow removal services in the City, has been utilizing a 1974 Athey Force Feed Loader currently owned by the North Latah Highway District.

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify">City Street Crews plan to operate the equipment outside of active plowing operation periods when staff and trucks are available between snowfall events. During and immediately following snowfall events, major
streets and arterials are plowed first, and repeatedly depending on the rate of the snow fall, followed by the lesser traveled residential areas, after which berm removal will begin according to equipment and staffing ability.

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify">Currently, City trucks are equipped with de-icer and gravel spreaders for the winter months and thus are unable to be used as dump trucks. As such, the City will contract with local operators of dump trucks to
haul removed snow to available dumping sites. Once the berm is removed, the remaining several inches of snow will then be leveled and minimized with City plows.<o:p></o:p></p>
