<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt">The Moscow Police Department, in conjunction with law enforcement agencies throughout Idaho and Washington are increasing patrols directed at reducing the number of impaired drivers this holiday season.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">The Moscow Police Department will be participating in patrols directed at the enforcement of the state’s impaired driving laws from December 17<sup>th</sup> to January 3<sup>rd</sup>. Directed patrols dedicated to decreasing impaired driving
often yield violations other than the ones targeted, including aggressive driving.

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt">The goal of this project is to
</span><span style="font-size:11.0pt">support the statewide highway safety goal of reducing motor vehicle related deaths and serious injuries as a result of impaired drivers by increasing law enforcement presence and increasing arrests of those impaired drivers.
Community residents deserve a safe holiday season free from the dangers of impaired and aggressive driving. Help us in our combined efforts of “Toward Zero Deaths” as 2010 comes to a close. Drive responsibly and report drunk drivers by calling (208) 882-COPS.
