I am a professional Historian and Southern Slavery As It Was is not valid history. It is promoting Doug Wilson’s agenda and has nothing to do with facts. I have also read the history textbook with Wilson’s contributions that is for conservative Christian homeschooling. This textbook is full of factual errors, very biased misrepresentations and outright lies. It is not valid history either. For example it states that the Klu Klux Klan were just a group of fun guys that liked to play jokes on black people. These types of self-publications are trying to justify patriarchy, slavery, and the abuse certain groups of people. Wilson’s writings in Southern Slavery As It Was are bigoted and in my opinion promoting racism, it is not valid history or history of any kind.

Ken Faunce

From: vision2020-bounces@moscow.com [mailto:vision2020-bounces@moscow.com] On Behalf Of Rosemary Huskey
Sent: Wednesday, December 15, 2010 11:44 PM
To: Contact - godshatter@yahoo.com
Cc: vision2020@moscow.com
Subject: [Vision2020] Enough already

Hi Paul,

As a matter of fact, Doug Wilson's book, Southern Slavery As It Was, is not historically accurate. I’ve read it, and I have a passing academic acquaintance with the antebellum period of the American south. SSAIW is a heavily plagiarized self-published effort, larded with failed attempts to justify patriarchy and slavery. It was intended to augment Doug’s marketing outreach to Southern CREC or CREC clones who are, on the whole, a bunch of bigoted, not very bright jackasses. Not surprisingly, they lapped it up. SSAIW is a reiteration of the tired old lies they learned at their pappy’s knee. Doug’s co-author, Steve Wilkins, is an unregenerate Confederate apologist, and a founding member of the League of the South.

Your tiresome, and incidentally undisputed argument that Doug has a constitutional right to say or publish whatever crap is on his mind misses the point. Don’t you think that we all get that? Trust me, we do. Let it go Paul. You are obviously wading in waters way to deep for you.

Rose Huskey
