Not to sound too blunt, Mr. Roger, but that's the truth and I humbly suggest you do your research on this matter. The fact that food stamps and welfare checks have the most economically stimulative effect out of anything that the government can do in a recession is a truth that is well established (and has been for years) by the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office. I fear your ideology may blind you to this fact, but it is simple logic to see that it is the most stimulating thing that can be done, considering that it is the fastest way to spend government money. Food stamps and welfare checks are usually spent immediately by the recipients. Obviously, this money goes directly into the economy.<br>
