In a letter printed today (Oct 12) in the Tribune, Gary Schroeder
(the recently de-throned Republican state senator) urges us to NOT vote
for 2 Republican candidates !!!!!!!!!!!!

I thank Schroeder to speaking the truth, and for supporting Dan
Schmidt (Boama's opponent) and Shirley Ringo (Young's opponent)

Reject Young and Bouma

Do Latah County citizens really want two anti-public education Tea Party
members to represent them in the Idaho Legislature? This year, high school
dropout Isaac Young and disgruntled former teacher Gresham Bouma have taken
advantage of the Tea Party movement to fuel their personal grudges against our
public schools. If they are elected, your kids will pay the price.

Tea Party enthusiast Young says he left Moscow High School because he was
being "brainwashed." He promises to eliminate all property and income taxes, but
has little understanding of the consequences of his proposal.

His Tea Party running mate and friend, Bouma, is a government-hating,
theocracy-leaning activist who proudly joined a speaking tour and website with
Rep. Phil Hart of Hayden Lake, who currently owes around $1 million in tax debts
and even kept taxes collected from his employees.

Bouma vigorously applauds any mention of repealing the income and property
taxes. He states that cutting education funding is his primary issue (Idaho
Statesman, May 27). He refers to University of Idaho personnel as "intellectual
elitists" and promises "more budget cuts" and to turn away all federal funding
for the university and public schools (Lewiston Tribune, May 17).

However, while blasting government spending, hypocrite Bouma doesn't complain
about his federal farm subsidy checks (Environmental Working Group).

These people were nominated by less than 10 percent of the registered voters
because the vast majority of Latah County stayed home during the primary.
They're counting on voter apathy again. Let's prove them wrong!
