<H2>Whitman County deputies investigate murder-suicide in rural Thornton</H2>

<DIV>Whitman County Sheriff’s Deputies are still investigating what they believe
may be a domestic violence case that resulted in two dead bodies
two-and-half-miles outside of Thornton. <BR><BR>The bodies of a married couple
were found around 11:30 a.m. today in their home by a deputy investigating a
welfare call, Sheriff Brett Myers said. <BR><BR>Myers said the sheriff’s office
was called around 11:15 a.m. by the woman’s employer at the Oakesdale grocery
store, who was concerned because the woman did not show up to work. Upon going
to the couple’s house, a deputy found the couple dead, apparently killed by a
firearm, Myers said.<BR><BR>“At his point were very confident that we’re
investigating it as a murder suicide,” he said. “They were a husband and a wife,
and currently the wife was in the process of separating from her
husband.”<BR><BR>The sheriff’s office will release more information about the
