Visionaries:<br><br>>From previous posts, I know I'm not the only one interested in local wild<br>birds, but I don't know a whole lot about them . . . I've just enjoyed<br>watching non-raptors for quite a few years now.<br><br>For the first time, I'm seeing a dove that's not a mourning dove visit my<br>yard, and I'm wondering if this is common & I've just missed other doves in<br>previous years or what? A month or so ago, a pair first appeared, but for<br>the last several weeks, I've only seen the male (I assume), which is sad . .<br>. I hate to think about what happened to his mate. He seems to be<br>interested in paling around with the mourning doves, but they aren't too<br>interested in having him around . . . he's quite a bit bigger than they are.<br><br>As near as I can tell, he's some kind of collared dove, although I don't<br>know what kind.<br><br>So, do others regularly see collared doves in this
