First, His remarks were clever AND funny.<br>
<br>
Second: Long, long, long ago, so very long ago, I was taught,<br>
and believed it, that an important ingredient in the strength<br>
and specialness of our nation was that our people came from<br>
many other countries, that we are a "melting pot" of customs<br>
and ideas.<br>
<br>
Third: Also, so very long ago, I was taught in school and by my<br>
parents, that by trying hard, by doing one's "best", one CAN<br>
succeed and be successful, in OUR country.<br>
<br>
So Arnold came from Austria. He figured it out. He parleyed<br>
his "muscle-man" body into the movies, and he laughed all the<br>
way to the bank, again, and again, and again.<br>
<br>
And he used us notability, and whatever else, likely a lot of savvy,<br>
or "smarts", to become the Governor of a state which is larger<br>
than some nations.<br>
<br>
So what's the bitch with Arnold. Guy come over from another<br>
country? Not in the American tradition?<br>
<br>
Can speak English well? So. Neither could my German ancestors.<br>
And what about the Italians, the Polish, the French, even the<br>
Irish, and now Latinos and Asians.<br>
<br>
Isn't there room for all?<br>
<br>
Why you pickin' on Arnold?<br>
<br>
If you don't like his STYLE, that's your choice.<br>
