of <st1:City w:st="on">Moscow Public Works Director <st1:PersonName w:st="on">Les
MacDonald</st1:PersonName></st1:City> has announced that the 2010 Irrigation
Season for the City of <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:City w:st="on">Moscow</st1:City></st1:place>
will begin June 1, 2010. The start date of the irrigation season is
determined annually by the Public Works Director as outlined in City Code Title
5, Chapter 17, which takes into account temperature and precipitation
information.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal style='text-align:justify'><font size=3
face="Times New Roman"><span style='font-size:12.0pt'><o:p> </o:p></span></font></p>
<p class=MsoNormal style='text-align:justify'><font size=3
face="Times New Roman"><span style='font-size:12.0pt'>Section 17-45 of the Code
states, “Outdoor irrigation shall be allowed only between the hours of
6:00 p.m. and 10:00 a.m. local time unless modified by a variance pursuant to
Chapter 17. Outdoor irrigation shall be prohibited at all times not
within the declared Outdoor Irrigation Season.” During the
Irrigation Season, the City encourages residents to refrain from outdoor
irrigation until precipitation and soil moisture decreases to a point that landscaping
needs supplemental water. <o:p></o:p></span></font></p>
