Recreation Department is seeking donations for the City’s Youth
Scholarship Program. For parents facing financial hardships these scholarships
cover registration fees for City youth recreational activities. The 2010 funds
available for nonresident youth are already depleted and with the summer
activities just around the corner, the remaining funds for resident youth are
expected to be depleted in June. In 2009, 385 youth scholarships were awarded
with public donations and grants reaching $4,021. Opportunities to give are
open to everyone, including citizens and businesses alike. Any amount donated
is appreciated and is tax deductable. Please send donations to the City of
