Thanks, Andreas, for clearing it up. And I agree -- Parks will be in prison 'til he's old, and I hope he undergoes the heart-change that could prevent this horrible crime from in a sense claiming another victim. I'm unalterably opposed to the death penalty, and I despise what he did, but I still pray for him.

Keely
www.keely-prevailingwinds.com

> Date: Tue, 30 Mar 2010 15:07:34 -0800
> Subject: Re: [Vision2020] Say What??????
> From: ophite@gmail.com
> To: kjajmix1@msn.com
> CC: bear@moscow.com; vision2020@moscow.com
>
> On Tue, Mar 30, 2010 at 2:52 PM, keely emerinemix <kjajmix1@msn.com> wrote:
> > I'm glad this is going to be resolved without the county's financial
> > collapse, but doesn't 15 years for manslaughter -- the wanton, willful
> > destruction of a human life, and in this case a premeditated willingness not
> > reflected in the plea -- seem odd in light of 25 years for the wanton,
> > willful destruction of property?
>
> As I understand it, Arson 1 is reserved for arsons resulting in loss
> of human life, or arsons designed to cover up another crime.
