their Third Street Gallery show openings. There are typically six show
openings annually. The Third Street Gallery is operated by the City Arts

common areas of City Hall. Alcohol has not previously been served in City
Hall. If approved, alcohol will be served on the second floor and only be
allowed on the 2<sup>nd</sup> and 3<sup>rd</sup> floors from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00
p.m. Signage indicating where the alcohol is allowed in the building will be
located on the stairs and at the elevator. Because of the low-keyed nature of
art gallery openings, the Police Chief is supportive of not requiring police
officers on site during the show. The licensed vendor is responsible for
checking IDs for age before serving alcohol. Staff will provide an annual
status report to the City Council. This request was reviewed by the
