<DIV>I don't think Palin has much recourse considering that she
willingly posed for the photo and is a public figure. If she was a
private person, or was not posing for the photo, she could probably sue.
But I don't think she will get anywhere with this other than
complaining. She also would have to show actual harm caused her by the
photo, and I don't think anyone is thinking it is a bad photo, in fact,
she looks rather healthy and athletic, especially for a grandmother.

very well have purchased, or may have been granted permission by
the publisher of Runner's World, or the photographer to use the

basically whatever they wanted with the photo, including selling
it to other organizations. </FONT></DIV>

could have bypassed any need for Palin's approval since
it was used in an editorial context.</FONT></DIV>

the photo doesn't mean she has any rights to it's use, that right
belongs with the owner of the copyright.</FONT></DIV>

issue would be between Newsweek and the copyright owner. Palin
