Routes</st1:PlaceName></st1:place> to School Program is sponsoring a celebration
of International Walk to School Day on October 7, 2009. The Moscow School
District Elementary, Junior High School and <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:PlaceName
w:st="on">Charter</st1:PlaceName> <st1:PlaceType w:st="on">Schools</st1:PlaceType></st1:place>
are invited to join schools from around the world to celebrate along with
parents, teachers and community leaders. <o:p></o:p></p>

12.0pt'>Approximately 1,000 students from the Moscow School District Elementary

participate by walking to school Wednesday, October 7 along with parents,

<p class=MsoNormal><font size=3 face="Times New Roman"><span style='font-size:
12.0pt'>The event will begin before school with kids, parents and community
leaders walking from their homes to school. Students who walk or bike to
school will receive special prizes and acknowledgment for participating in the
Walk to School Day event. <o:p></o:p></span></font></p>

International Walk to School Day is expected to include 5,000 schools from all

bicycling and emphasize the importance of issues such as increasing physical
activity among children, pedestrian safety, traffic congestion, concern for the
environment and building connections between families, schools and the broader
