My wife and I generally have to wait upwards of six months for an<br>
appointment with our dermatologist. Then once we are evaluated,<br>
any follow-up appointments for treatments come at few-week<br>
intervals.<br>

But the initial waiting . . . Whew! What if we had a melonoma? The<br>
waiting could be fatal, I think.<br>

clinic a middle-aged, weathered-faced, man entered, wearing a dark

I felt like asking him how old that shirt was, I saw a lot of them
during the Vietnam War in the 1960s and '70s, but I held my peace. I
was reminded of all the draft resisters at that time, who really did
not want to "leave it."
I was also tempted to ask him if he was off to a TEA-party, where
that shirt would be most appropriate. But again, I kept my mouth shut.
Oh yes, I had to wait for one and a half hours, since my regular
doctor is booked up for three weeks in advance. And we're being told
that only Canada has wait times for medical care!
