<P>CLOSES WITH MARIMBA ENSEMBLE FOUNDER!</P>

<P>MOSCOW, ID: </B>Heart of the Arts’ sixth season of the Plaza Concerts closes
on Monday, August 10 at 6 P.M. on the plaza at the 1912 Center, 412 East Third
Street with Setushaya Marimba Ensemble and the retun of its founder, Tendai
Mutparutsa.</P>
<P>Headlining Monday’s concert is the Setushaya Marimba Ensemble. The African
marimba group was organized by an international student from Africa,
</FONT>Tendai Mutparutsa, while he was a student at the University of Idaho.
Tendai now lives and studies in Canada. Group member Mimi Pengilly said, "He was
a gifted teacher of all of us! He is an extremely energetic performer! We are
very happy that he will be able to join us for this event."<BR></P><FONT size=3>
<P>Performers for the event from Moscow include Mimi Pengilly, Diane Walker, Sue
Byrne, Mary Donohoe, JoAnn Evans, Elinor Michel, and Brian Davies. Some regula4r
group members will be absent for the evening but the eight marimbas will be
covered for the evening along with some African percussion instruments. Heart of
the Arts Producer of the Plaza Concerts, Linda Pall, will join the group with
Ghanaian gourd and shell instruments from her visits to West Africa.</P>
<P>As an extra benefit of the Plaza Concert series, value priced food for dinner
will be available for purchase from Peri of Peri’s Middle Eastern Kitchen,
featuring tasty Turkish savories and sweets as well as beverages. Heart of the
Arts has arranged for tables for the evening as well as individual seats. Food
service begins at 6 PM and continues throughout the evening. Music begins at
6:30 and continues until 8 P.M.</P>
<P>The public is invited to the Sixth Season for free. The musicians donate
their services. Linda Pall, producer of the series since its inception, commends
the musicians for their generous donation of time and talent to the community
through this concern series. "It is a testament to the artists of the community
that they are willing to donate their services to make summer a vibrant,
exciting experience in Moscow! It’s a chance to extend the weekend to
Tuesday!"</P>
<P>The August 10 Plaza concert was originally planned as a box supper auction
benefit for the 1912 Center but the auction/fund raiser has been postponed until
October. </P>
