Joe, I've written you off line to point out that perhaps you're taking this too personally and criticizing people who haven't done anything to tick you off like this. Now I'm going to go public with my sincere hope that you stop assuming that everyone who disagrees with you on this point is either a slavery defender, locked into or indebted to the Wilson camp, or simply just bad.

You have contributed a lot to this forum, but I think your snarling at Dan, below, isn't fair to him and doesn't further the conversation. He was making a wry observation -- a joke -- and I wonder if you really intended to make the discussion about media bias an invitation to lash out like this.

I'm sure this will anger you further, but I think you've been unfair to Dan.

Keely
http://keely-prevailingwinds.blogspot.com/

> From: philosopher.joe@gmail.com
> To: areaman@moscow.com
> Date: Sun, 14 Jun 2009 14:26:32 -0700
> CC: vision2020@moscow.com
> Subject: Re: [Vision2020] NYTimes: The Big Hate
>
> Is it that I'm biased or that you are too afraid to buck the Wilson
> camp for fear of losing votes?
>
> Well, we can test it.
>
> Don't you think that Wilson's revisionism about US slavery is just as
> bad as the denial of the holocaust; if not, why not?
>
> My guess is you won't answer this question -- which is a bit of the
> very problem I'm trying to note.
>
> Joe Campbell
>
> On Jun 14, 2009, at 1:27 PM, "Dan Carscallen" <areaman@moscow.com>
> wrote:
>
> > Joe,
> >
> > Your bias is showing.
> >
> > DC
> >
> > -----Original Message-----
> > From: vision2020-bounces@moscow.com
> > [mailto:vision2020-bounces@moscow.com] On Behalf Of Joe Campbell
> > Sent: Sunday, June 14, 2009 1:21 PM
> > To: g. crabtree
> > Cc: <vision2020@moscow.com>
> > Subject: Re: [Vision2020] NYTimes: The Big Hate
> >
> > I haven't heard of half these people.
