Department is proud to participate in the final leg of the 2009 Special
Olympics World Winter Games Law Enforcement Torch Run®. The final leg
ceremony in <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:City w:st="on">Moscow</st1:City>, <st1:State
w:st="on">Idaho</st1:State></st1:place> will be held in the Moscow High School
Auditorium, January 30 at 2:45 p.m. The torch will arrive in <st1:State
w:st="on">Idaho</st1:State> Tuesday, January 29 and will make its way to <st1:City
w:st="on">Boise</st1:City> by February 6 where the flame will be welcomed and
received in <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:State w:st="on">Idaho</st1:State></st1:place>
at the start of the 2009 Special Olympics World Winter Games.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><font size=3 face="Times New Roman"><span style='font-size:

12.0pt'>The run will begin at 2:45 p.m. at the University of Idaho Commons. The
run will head east on <st1:Street w:st="on"><st1:address w:st="on">University
Street, north</st1:address></st1:Street> on <st1:Street w:st="on"><st1:address
w:st="on">Ash Street, east</st1:address></st1:Street> on <st1:Street w:st="on"><st1:address
w:st="on">Idaho Street, north</st1:address></st1:Street> on <st1:Street w:st="on"><st1:address
w:st="on">Elm Street, East</st1:address></st1:Street> on <st1:Street w:st="on"><st1:address
w:st="on">W. 6<sup>th</sup> Street, north</st1:address></st1:Street> on <st1:Street
w:st="on"><st1:address w:st="on">Main Street</st1:address></st1:Street> then
east on <st1:Street w:st="on"><st1:address w:st="on">3<sup>rd</sup> Street</st1:address></st1:Street>

Enforcement Officers from the <st1:country-region w:st="on">United States</st1:country-region>,
7 from <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:country-region w:st="on">Canada</st1:country-region></st1:place>,
and 18 from other countries. The group also includes 10 Special
Olympians. <o:p></o:p></span></font></p>

12.0pt'>The public is invited to attend the arrival of the torch ceremony at <st1:place

School</st1:PlaceType></st1:place>. At the ceremony Mayor <st1:PersonName
w:st="on">Nancy Chaney</st1:PersonName> will speak and the Vandal Band and
Moscow High School Band will perform the National Anthem after a presentation
of the flag is made by a color guard. <o:p></o:p></span></font></p>

12.0pt'>The Law Enforcement Torch Run® for Special Olympics is an
international movement where members of the law enforcement community initiate
and implement Torch Runs and events to raise funds and awareness for Special
Olympics. The Law Enforcement Torch Run® Final Leg for the 2009 Special
Olympics World Winter Games is made up of an international team of 142 members,
which includes 95 Law Enforcement Officer runners, 10 Special Olympics athletes
and support personnel, who will serve as “Guardians of the Flame”
as they welcome and receive the “Flame of Hope” in <st1:State
w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Idaho</st1:place></st1:State>. <o:p></o:p></span></font></p>

w:st="on">Idaho</st1:State></st1:place> to heighten awareness of Special
Olympics and the World Games. The Final Leg Team will safely deliver the
