<DIV>I am unaware of any place in Moscow, or just outside of it, that doesn't have public transportation available for any person who has a disability in Moscow. I know it sucks to walk in the slush and snow, but that is just the way winter is in Idaho. Most the sidewalks in Idaho are not even fit for people in wheelchairs. If they were, I would probably be on side of keeping them clear. We are just keeping them clear for people that are able bodied. </DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>I would rather spend money and time on making the sidewalks safe an ADA accessible during the Spring, Summer, and Fall, then demand we spend taxpayer dollars on removing snow from non-ADA sidewalks that will melt anyway. </DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>I personally think most homeowners are really not capable or able of removing snow from city walkways and streets, and should not be required to do so. Why should a 65 year-old with back problems be required to shovel four feet of snow on city property after a nine hour work day just because she happens to own a home so a fit 19 year old can walk past her house? It is just as unjust to make the college students shovel the snow.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>If it is a business or government building that you think is neglecting their civic duties, I think you should call them. If they don't comply, speak to a code enforcement officer at the City Police or Sheriff's office. </DIV>

<DIV>Best Regards,</DIV>

<DIV>I don't mean to sound insensitive; </DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>But this is Idaho. It snows. It snows a lot. If snow is such a burden for people that they feel a need to sue people over not being available 24/7 to remove it from every inch of city property that within 50 ft of them, they should consider a move South. </DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>People, it snows, don't like it, complain to God. If someone, or a business is being really neglectful in snow and ice removal, ask them nicely to fix it, if they don't, write a letter to the editor to complain. </DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>Except for disabled parking in government and private businesses, people should just realize it snows, and if you are unsure footed like me, you are probably going to fall. It is just the way it is, please stop with endless complaining about snow in Idaho in the winter, it is just a fact of life, love your neighbor, it isn't his/her fault, and let us move on. </DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>Go buy a pair of boots with good traction, or stay home. </DIV>

be some sort of effort to clean the sidewalks lining Highway 95 north of
Rosauer's and south of A & W? People are still walking in the highway.
There is also snow blocking parts or all of lanes in this area.
Combine the blocked lanes with lack of sidewalks, people walking in the
highway and heavy truck traffic, and you have a recipe for a major disaster.
Thank you,
