But major US multinationals like General Motors can sometimes make more profit manufacturing products in nations with cheap labor, limited health care and worker benefits, less environmental regulations, lower taxes, etc. to sell their products in the global marketplace, bypassing US manufacturing and the hiring of US workers. And the consequences for US workers, competing in this global market environment, as US taxpayers are being stuck with billions of dollars for a GM bailout?</div>
