are the public face of the university (at least one of them). Being
married to a former student-athlete, I remember how the athletic department
kept a close eye on her academic progress. And I don’t blame
them: They had a lot of money invested in her, and she’d damn well
better perform in the classroom as well as on the field.</span></font></p>

Plumber, Joe the Ag Ed major) was not as “visible” as she
was, per se. But, I had one of the meanest advisors on the planet who
kept me in line. And I thank him for it, and I consider him a friend.</span></font></p>

believe that Coach Akey (along with Coaches Buchanan, Newlee, Verlin, and all
the rest) hold their charges to a higher standard than the rest of the student
body. And, of course, higher than that of those donkeys from bSU.
If that means we’re going to lose a few games before we start winning,
that’s what we’ll have to live with.</span></font></p>
