organizer Richard LaFortune speaks about his work with two spirit, Native, and
LGBT communities. Two-spirit is a term for Native American people who have
both a female and a male spirit in their bodies; the term is modern and
includes a number of different gender roles from a variety of
tribes.<BR><BR>Richard was born in Bethel, Alaska and is a citizen of the
Yupik (Eskimo) tribe. He was born in the province of the Kuskokvagmiut -
"People of the Great River"- to the Qaug'qumiut- "People from the Inner
Reaches of the Great River". He lives in Minneapolis,
Minnesota.<BR></SPAN><SPAN
