My grandfather died 27 years ago this week. These days, it's hard to find heroes, sometimes hard to imagine any have ever really existed at all. On my blog, I've written a tribute to the man I call "hero," and I guess I'm just feeling the need to remind people that there are a lot of jewels around us all. Cherish them.
