Moscow Food Co-op will host a zero-waste parking lot party and <BR>> annual
membership meeting from 4pm to 9pm on Sunday, September 7. The <BR>> free
public event celebrates the Co-op's 35 years in Moscow.<BR>><BR>> The
no-waste event will use dishes from the Palouse-Clearwater <BR>>
Environmental Institute (PCEI) plate project, transported to and from <BR>>
the Co-op using electric vehicles, with all garbage composted at the <BR>>
Co-op Earth Tub.<BR>><BR>> For the party, the Co-op's parking lot downtown
will be filled with <BR>> free live music performances and children’s
activities. In addition, <BR>> grilled burgers (meat or veggie), a variety of
non-alcoholic <BR>> beverages, and beer and wine will be available for
purchase.<BR>><BR>> In addition, there will be a drawing open to those who
pay the <BR>> remaining equity to become lifetime members, all current
lifetime <BR>> members, and new first-time members who sign up at the party.
The <BR>> winner of the drawing can choose either a $100 gift card to use at
the <BR>> Co-op or a certificate for 35 bowls of the Co-op deli's
soup.<BR>><BR>> The Co-op is located at 121 East Fifth Street in downtown
