Sunil, I already stated that I believe that GTMO should be shut down. But I disagree with the United States Supreme Court removing the power from the military to contain and detain enemy combatants and those working against their mission, until the end of the duration of a conflict. Giving enemy troops and sympathizers back while your still in deadly conflict is a poor winning strategy. Catch and release of unlawful enemy combatants will not assist our Troops.

Is your willingness strip the US Military of powers it needs to protect this country and its troops based on sound national security interests, or your hatred for one administration and its willingness to abuse power and deceive to keep it?

"Do you think someone who opposes us in Iraq or Afghanistan is automatically a terrorist?"

No, I don't. But I believe that if someone is so opposed to our presents in either country as to hinder or bring harm to our national security or the welfare of our troops, the military has the right to take steps to detain and contain them.

I'm relieved to hear that.

Go Along Hansen,

No, it was you that supported Bush to start this unjustified war. Not me. It was you who viciously attacked the Generals, such as Wesley Clark, and his character as a person, for opposing the start of the war. Now you know, you were wrong. You just went along.

No, it was you that bought the Patriot act, and the War Powers act, the lies of Bush. And attacked those that opposed it. You were wrong, you just went along.

It is you who bought into the WMDs and the unbelievable rhetoric. You were wrong, you just went along.

Now, you are doing it again. Just going along. Because Bush is a bad president, and abused his power, we want to strip the right of the military to contain and detain enemy combatants trying to kill them and you.

You just go along, because everyone hates Bush,
every one hates GTMO, and every one hates a violation of civil rights. So you will just go along. Rather than directly addressing what is wrong with GTMO, and Bush, and the war, you instead support a Supreme Court decision to strip the military from being able to detain people trying to kill them and you.

And I bet, Mr. Go Along Hansen, will be part of the fight of the public trying to reverse this horrid decision by the Supreme Court two or four years from now when President Obama tries to get troops in Afghanistan and Pakistan to take out the Taliban but cannot, because US Troops cannot Shoot, Contain, or Detain the unlawful combatants shooting them and blowing them up without being in violation of some international treaty, the UN, or a twisted interpretation of the US Constitution. Our Troops will no longer be fighters of freedom but just target practice for the Taliban.

Best
